Simply Stylist's Leading Lady

Last March the Stylist Handbook had the opportunity to attend Simply Stylist's 2nd Annual Fashion and Beauty Panel Event held at Hollywood's Siren Studios. The leading lady behind the main attraction is none other than its founder, Sarah Pollack Boyd.

It was at an early age where the world of fashion sparked an interest in Sarah and she would soon find herself involved in its thrilling journey. After obtaining her Fashion Merchandising degree from Philadelphia University, she realized a need was left unfulfilled by publicists and professionals in her area. The need circulated around the idea of connecting stylists dressing their celebrity clients with favorable brands while providing them with the press and recognition they deserved. Soon after, Simply Stylist Inc. was unveiled — an agency specializing in Public Relations, Events and Brand Collaborations, all of which mimic Sarah's undeniable love and interests. It didn't take long after before the idea for Simply Stylist unraveled with a focus on connecting stylists with top brands while also contributing to the individuals growth and development. 

"I've always loved seeing friends and loved ones succeed and after 8 years in Fashion PR I wanted to do something that could better people's lives in this world.  After 'dot connecting' numerous aspiring stylists to Hollywood's elite stylists and seeing them grow over the years, I knew I could do this on a larger scale throughout numerous platforms.  I love fashion and I love connecting. Simply Stylist was born!  It was really an untapped market, so I quit my job and went for it" says Boyd. 

In 2012, alongside its panel networking event, Simply Stylist expanded their reach to include PR for a variety of talent and influencers within the entertainment industry which includes television personalities, wardrobe stylists, and beauty gurus, to name a few. Already establishing herself in this area, Forbes has recognized her skills, recently naming her a "Female Founder to Watch".

Rest assured, Sarah is constantly being watched by many established and aspiring industry enthusiasts who are inspired by her work. She pays close attention to the many collaborations for her panel events, ensuring that attendees are in the presence of those who can provide valuable knowledge and skills that have contributed to their success. "I strategically pick 'experts' from all areas of the Fashion Industry that are all equally trendsetters.  I choose my speakers based on their fan base, social following and their ability to speak to a large audience", expresses Boyd. Speakers include stylists, bloggers, editors and designers. 

For Simply Stylist LA, the presences of Catt Sadler of E! (moderator/host), Brad Goreski (Celebrity Stylist), Aimee Song (Fashion Blogger), Louise Roe (Style Expert), Melissa Magsaysay (Fashion Editor)  and Whitney Port (Fashion Designer) were requested. The first ever Beauty Panel included, Tracy O'Connor, Scotty Cunha (Celebrity Hair Stylist), Susan Yara (Beauty Editor), Natalie Alcala (Beauty Blogger) and Suzie Kim (Beauty Entrepreneur). 

As for what's next, Sarah tells us, "I plan to add more categories to our panels in the coming years!  I also handle the PR for various style and beauty experts, I have some really exciting new clients that I can't wait to get started on".
